Kruszwica - Ostrowo - Przewóz - Siemionki - Kruszwica
We begin our adventure in Kruszwica, famous for the legend of the Mouse Tower, where, according to legend, mice ate Prince Popiel. From the very first kilometers, the route offers a unique historical atmosphere. We follow a paved road along Lake Gopło (formerly known as "Mare Polonorum" – the Sea of Poles). Soon, we leave the shore and enter the only forested section of the route – short, but providing pleasant shade in summer. The rest of the route runs mainly through farmland, as Kujawy is characterized by fertile soil. Along the way, there are plenty of interesting landscapes and historic manor parks. The first of these is in the town of Gocanowo. The route continues mainly on paved roads with low traffic. We pass further manor parks in Janocin and Ostrów – each with its own unique atmosphere. Near Goplanka, we approach the lake again. In Powidz, we cross to the other side. In Łuczewo, we pass a beach – a good place for a short break or a swim in the summer. If you have more time, it's worth extending the route by visiting the "Nadgoplański Park Tysiąclecia" nature reserve. Our route leads along quiet, paved roads to the village of Lachmirowice, where another manor park is located – although usually avoided, it can often be visited thanks to the courtesy of the owners – it's worth visiting, as it leads through a charming path lined with impressive trees. Then, short gravel sections await, after which we join quiet, paved side roads. The route concludes with a bike path leading to Kruszwica, which offers a picturesque view of Mysia Wieża (Mysia Tower) at the end, from which we can admire the panoramic view of the surrounding area.
