Brodnica - Cielęta - Szczuka
We begin our short trip from the center of Brodnica, right next to the Drwęca River. We head first along the main paved road towards the village of Cielęta. If traveling with a family, the younger ones can use the sidewalks along the road, then we'll all ride on the dedicated bike path. After turning right, we enter a less-trafficked road offering views of the lakes and windmills. There's a designated parking space at Lake Szczuckie, where we can rest. We return along the same straight road towards Brodnica – the most important town in the lake district, rich in bike paths. In Brodnica, we can see the castle tower and cellars – the remains of a Teutonic castle, as well as one of the few triangular market squares in Poland and the world. Brodnica is the birthplace of Princess Anna Vasa.
