Brodnica – Portrait of Anna Vasa

An extraordinary mural depicting a majestic portrait of Anna Wazówna, sister of King Sigismund III Vasa, who was the starost of Brodnica and Golub, proudly stands at a height of almost 170 meters. Anna Wazówna, known for her patronage of writers and scholars, created an intellectual center in Brodnica, attracting the outstanding minds of the era to her court. Her passion for botany and herbal medicine resulted in the publication of the first book on this subject in Europe. The mural by Wiktor Konopacki, painted by Agata Wilkowska, is a true work of art that pays tribute to this unique figure.
