Church of St. Saint Nicholas attracts connoisseurs of sacred art. Built in the 17th century by regular canons from Trzemeszno, it still impresses with its beautiful design. In the years 1705-1706, its interior was decorated with charming Baroque paintings. However, the passage of time and the vicissitudes of fate have left their mark. During renovation works, the wall paintings were covered with reeds and a thick layer of plaster. And this is how they disappeared from the Gąsawa temple for 150 years. They were rediscovered during renovations carried out in 1998-1999. After cutting down the walls, a unique view emerged which, after many years of conservation work, delights everyone who crosses the threshold of the small wooden temple. It is a high-class illusionistic painting, multi-layered, depicting scenes from the Gospel, figures of saints, garlands of flowers and fruit, as well as floral cartouches with inscriptions. The interior of the church is a cross-section of styles - from late Gothic, through baroque, mannerism, classicism to the present.
