Information

Due to the change in its location (over 200 years, it changed it twice) Nieszawa is called a "wandering city". What distinguishes this small town is the ferry crossing over the Vistula, connecting Kujawy with the Dobrzyń region. The characteristic yellow and blue ferry floating between two banks is the only vessel of this type in Poland. This original side- wheel drive design resembles steamboats on the Mississippi River. In Nieszawa, in 1867, Stanisław Noakowski was born, an outstanding architectural theoretician, teacher, draftsman and painter. It is worth visiting the museum dedicated to him to learn about the artist's life and work and look at Noakowski's drawings and watercolors.
