The winding blue ribbon of the Vistula River picturesquely meandering among golden fields, green meadows, majestic forests and steep slopes. You will see this extraordinary landscape from the "peaks" of the Czarcie Góry, commonly called Devil's Mountains. Apparently the slopes of these hills were once inhabited by devils who prevented rafters from crossing this section of the Vistula at night...
Czarcie Góry are rugged slopes and cliffs stretching between Świecie and Sartowice, covered with steam forest, with a beautiful view of the Vistula and the Wda flowing into it. Their elevations sometimes reach 60-80 m above sea level, and the highest peak - Czarcia Kazalnica - is 92 m. Interestingly, in the past, the Bernardines from Świecie used this place to grow vines and hops.
By following the designated nature path, you have the opportunity to commune with nature in its purest form. The route leads from Świecie to the palace park in Sartowice and is 10 km long. There are viewpoints along the steeply sloping slope to the Vistula River, from which you can see the beautiful valley of one of the last wild rivers in Europe.
