ROUTE: Szubin – Pińsko – Stare Słonawy – Malice – Kcynia – Żurawia – Dziewierzewo – Chraplewo – Królikowo – Słupy – Kowalewo – Szubin
In Szubin, follow the bike path on Leśna Street straight ahead. Then turn left onto Pałucka Street, which turns into a dirt road. We pass the village of Wolwark on the left, visible from a distance. After approximately 7 km, we reach a paved road that intersects our route. On the right, we see Pińsko (the village features an abandoned manor house from around 1870, with the remains of a once-magnificent park). We turn right. We pass the village and head along the dirt road to the village of Stare Słonawy. Then turn left to Słonawy. Continue along the paved road towards Zalesie, until we reach the signpost for Malice. We turn right and follow the paved road to Kcynia. We enter the road to Wągrowiec. After approximately 5 km, turn left to the village of Żurawia, and then continue straight to Dziewierzewo.
Three roads lead from the village to Szubin. The shortest is through Malice to road no. 247, which leads directly to Szubin; the medium-length asphalt road through Chraplewo (the village boasts a 19th-century manor house) to the village of Królikowo (in the village center, you'll pass a park with a neo-Gothic gate, a historic post office building, and a brick distillery from the second half of the 19th century); and then on to road no. 247 or through the village of Słupy (here, in the center of the village, you'll find St. Vitus Church, estimated to date from the 11th century, and an 18th-century palace). We reach the Pałuki junction on the S5 route to Szubin.
The longer route leads from Dziewierzewo to the village of Górki Zagajne and then to Retowo, Chraplewo, and Królikowo. We finish the route similarly to the two shorter options: either heading directly towards the Kcynia-Szubina road or turning towards the village of Słupy and continuing along the S5 to Szubin.
If we want to extend the route, we can cross the S5 and head towards the village of Wąsosz, then on to Chomętów. From there, we continue to the villages of Gąbin and Mąkoszyn. We return through the forests towards Smolniki.
