The starting point is in the Gostynin-Włocławek Landscape Park, one of eight such parks in our voivodeship. From the paved, narrow bike path, we reach an asphalt road with very little traffic. When we reach the town of Smolnik, we recommend stocking up on provisions. The next sections of the route lead through the so-called "Little Bieszczady Mountains," and the road becomes winding
with numerous small hills. After leaving the forested area, we reach Kowal, the birthplace of King Casimir the Great, where a monument to him stands. He is not the only king we will "encounter" along the route.

Riding the bike path to Brześć Kujawski, we will pass the monument to Władysław the Elbow-high. From there, we follow the final, short asphalt section to the old water mill in Polówka; just beyond it, turning right, we enter the bike path. Along the way, it's worth stopping in Wieniec-Zdrój, a small spa town, to take a dip in the spring waters. Following the path, we reach Włocławek – passing through Słodów Park, we reach the restored Vistula boulevards.

Vistula towns are interesting cycling destinations, but we'll probably write more about that in our next guide...
