Church of St. Margaret in Kościelec Kujawski

Places
The Church of St. Margaret in Kościelec Kujawski is one of the oldest brick churches in Poland, built at the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries in the Romanesque style. Built of granite blocks, it has retained many of its original features, including the gallery and tower with Romanesque stairs. In the 15th century, it was partially rebuilt in the Gothic style, and in the 16th century, a Renaissance tomb chapel for the Kościelecki family was added, designed by Italian architect Giovanni Battista di Quadro. The interior of the church contains Gothic and Renaissance details, including a valuable tombstone and star and cross vaults.
