On the outskirts of Solankowy Park, in the heart of Inowrocław's Sports and Recreation Center, there is a fascinating mural decorating the fence of the Summer Theater. This work of street art, created in September 2012 by a group of enthusiasts called "Jasna Strona Miasta" (The Bright Side of the City), is a tribute to the rich history of Inowrocław. The project, carried out by Jarosław "Jaro" Wojtasiński, Dominika Matuszak, and four talented graffiti artists, combines art and history.
The mural, painted in shades of brown reminiscent of ancient papyrus scrolls, depicts the city's timeline. Each scene, from ancient Askaukalis, through the Polish-Teutonic War, the Swedish Deluge, the Thirty Years' War, to Napoleon's visit, the partitions, the regaining of independence, and contemporary Inowrocław, is full of life and symbolism. Every detail is meticulously crafted, creating an extraordinary story about the city that delights both residents and tourists alike.
