Information

  • Address: ul. Zamkowa 1, Kruszwica
At 1 Zamkowa Street in Kruszwica, there is a mural depicting a Gothic castle built in the mid-14th century during the reign of Casimir the Great. The painting, based on a 17th-century drawing by Willem Swidi and Erik Dahlbergh, is a copy of the engraving "View of Kruszwica 1655" from the work of Samuel von Pufendorf. The castle was destroyed by the Swedes in 1657, and the only remnant is the famous Mouse Tower. The mural beautifully captures the history of this remarkable castle and its significance for the town.
