The mural in Wierzchuciński takes us back to World War II. Created by Tomasz Smieszkoł, it commemorates local heroes from the Jedlina-102 Home Army unit and the secret "Heidekraut" (meaning "heather") rocket testing ground, where the Germans tested V2 rockets. Under the command of Jan Władysław Sznajder, pseudonym Jaś-Dąb, the Home Army unit closely observed the enemy's activities. Thanks to the efforts of the "Światło" association and funding from the Ministry of National Defense, this mural is not only a work of art, but also an important testimony to history.
