Immersed in the history and culture of the city, the mural on a tenement house on Piekarska Street in Włocławek takes us on a journey back to 1914. The inspiration for this work was a historic postcard, whichwas sent from Włocławek (by a resident of this tenement house, Abram Goldberg) to Berlin. After more than 100 years, thanks to one of Włocławek's collectors, it was purchased in an antique shop in Argentina. As a result of the purchase, the postcard returned to Włocławek, and later, thanks to the buyer's acquaintance with the owner of the tenement house at 15 Piekarska Street, it was "reproduced" on the wall of the building. The black-and-white composition recreates the landscape of the city from over a hundred years ago, showing not only the architecture of the time, but also the atmosphere of the residents' nightlife.
Paying tribute to the past, the artist painted every detail with precision, carefully recreating the clothing and architectural details of the time. His work not only restores the spirit of the past, but also places it in the historical context of the time through comments placed around the card. Immerse yourself in the magical world of the black-and-white past, which comes back to life thanks to this extraordinary interpretation.
