Złotoria – The First Peace of Toruń

The mural in Złotoria is like a page from a historical chronicle or an illustrated guide to history. It commemorates the First Peace of Toruń of 1411, which ended the war with the Teutonic Order, unfortunately only for three years. The solemn swearing-in and sealing of the treaty took place on the meadows near the castle in Złotoria. It was conducted by Władysław Jagiełło and Witold on behalf of Poland and Lithuania, as well as the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order, Heinrich von Plauen. The author of this work is Cezary Mazurkiewicz.
