Żnin - Public Library

Unveiled in 2020 to mark the 75th anniversary of the institution, the mural refers to the lives and activities of the people of Pałuki who helped shape the history of this region. These include Wanda Dobaczewska, Anna and Alfred Krzycki, Leon Lichociński, and Mirosław Binkowski. It combines tradition with modernity, and thus the past with the present and the future. At the same time, it is intended to intrigue and encourage viewers to visit the library, which is why some of the books on the mural have similar titles (referring to the original books that can be borrowed from the library or those that have not yet been published but refer to the region's traditions). The dictionaries without titles refer only by color to books published in Pałuki or found in the library. It is up to the viewer to figure out which dictionaries they are.
