A mural depicting the cover of "Moja Przyjaciółka" from March 10, 1939, has been created on the wall of the Museum of the Pałucka Region. The authors of this colorful work are Łukasz "Tee Tos" Towalewski and Piotr Strzałka. The mural commemorates an illustrated biweekly women's magazine published in Żnin between 1934 and 1939. The editor-in-chief of the magazine was Anna Krzycka, wife of Alfred Krzycki, owner of the Alfred Krzycki Works in Żnin.
The women's biweekly magazine "Moja Przyjaciółka" was extremely popular, covering topics related to fashion, health, cosmetics, as well as social and moral issues. It published recipes, gardening tips, and articles on cultural life. The magazine achieved the highest circulation of all Polish women's magazines of the time, becoming a real phenomenon.
The mural not only decorates the city, but also reminds us of the rich history of local printing, which can be explored in more detail at the permanent exhibition "History of Printing in Żnin" at the Museum of the Pałucka Region.
