The Old Town Bridge is the perfect spot for a memorable photo from Bydgoszcz. From here, you can enjoy the iconic downtown view of the Brda River and the historic monuments clustered along its banks. The majestic silhouettes of the three timber-framed granaries remind us of the important role river trade played in Bydgoszcz’s history. The Lemara barge, moored on the Brda’s bank, is not only an example of technical monument but also a symbol of a significant part of the city’s history—it tells the story of the skippers' work and life, of old river navigation, and the bustling river life. From here, you can also spot the 19th-century Lloyd Palace, which housed shipping companies throughout the 20th century, and the modern Glass Granaries, built in the 1990s, which echo the old architectural atmosphere of Bydgoszcz’s city center. Over the water's surface, you’ll see the sculpture "Crossing the River" balancing on a rope. On the opposite side of the bridge, you’ll see the building of the Nova Opera and the Bydgoszcz Cathedral reflected in the waters of the Brda.
