The village is quiet, the village is cheerful... one would say when visiting the Kujawsko-Dobrzyński Ethnographic Park in Kłóbka. In this small settlement in Kuyavia, an old, traditional village was recreated. Old cottages with home gardens full of blooming hollyhocks, sunflowers and phloxes, the smell of herbs floating around and the buzzing of bees coming from straw hives... This is a place where time has stopped. Here you will find old craft workshops - a forge, an oil mill, a pottery, and a "koźlak" windmill. You will visit an old inn, a fire station and a wooden church. In the former school building, you will see a classroom where, by kneeling on a pea, you will experience the traditional punishment for unruly students, the teacher's office and the apartment. The exhibition in the historic manor granary will familiarize you with issues related to economy and agriculture in the former villages of Kujawy and Dobrzyń.
In the open-air museum park, on the Lubieńka River, you will find a 19th-century manor house of the Orpiszewski family, distinguished for the history of Poland. The atmosphere of the former landowner's residence was faithfully recreated in its interior. Maria Wodzińska Orpiszewska, Fryderyk Chopin's youthful love, lived here.
