Nature and educational path "Jelenia Island" runs through a charming part of the "Bagna nad Stążką" nature reserve. A 3.5 km walk along the route is an excellent opportunity to get to know the characteristic plant communities found in the Bory Tucholskie (Tuchola Forest): pine forests with an admixture of birch and spruce, alder forests, riparian forests, peat bogs, as well as, protected by a reserve, the swamps of the Stążka River, which is one of the cleanest rivers of the Bory Tucholskie. It is best to admire the meandering river from the observation tower. From here you will see the largest low peat bog in the Tuchola Forest. Extensive swamps provide favorable habitat conditions for many bird species. With a bit of luck, you will be able to spot cranes, the real decoration of these wetlands. Stop for a moment and listen to the sounds of the surrounding nature. Maybe you will hear the characteristic clang echoing through the local swamps...
