The famous Toruń gingerbread is not only an aromatic, spicy delicacy. It is one of the symbols of the former Hanseatic city and an important element of its history. You will see how important it is at the Living Gingerbread Museum. Here you can travel through time to a 16th-century gingerbread house. Then under the watchful eye of the Gingerbread Master and the Spice Witch, you can gain historical apprenticeship qualifications and learn the secrets of the Toruń’s old craft. At the museum you will make gingerbread dough all by yourself while listening to Toruń legends and stories. You will see a factory from the early 20th century and learn the difficult craft art of decorating gingerbread. Additionally, old Polish language, medieval age stylized costumes, and spicy scents floating in the air creates an experience that will work like magic on your senses.
