Church of St. Sacred Heart of Jesus in Rypin

Stained glass windows have been an important decorative element of temples since the Middle Ages. You can admire unique works of art made of colorful pieces of glass in Rypin. In the church of The Sacred Heart of Jesus is home to the largest religious stained glass window in Europe. The scene of the Last Supper occupies two walls of the presbytery and has an area of 212 m². Its creators are a couple of artists from Rypin - Elżbieta Bednarska and Andrzej Bednarski. They worked on this piece of art for twenty years.
