DESCRIPTION:
Strzelce jam, known for their excellent taste, are fried in copper cauldrons set over a hearth, according to an old tradition. They owe their taste to carefully selected plums from the company's own orchard as well as the preservation of the proper frying procedure to a thick consistency. Plum jam is dark brown with a maroon hue and a shiny, solidified surface with visible fragments of purple plum skin. The taste is slightly sweet, sourish, with a delicate bitterness, and has a peculiar aroma with a slight smoky and stone aroma.
The product does not contain any preservatives. It is a wonderful addition to donuts, croissants, sandwiches, etc.
Plum jam from the Lower Vistula Valley was entered on the List of Traditional Products of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on 15 March 2006.
